![]() However, no-one won the amp because it had a reserve on it that no one hit. I bid the max I could on it but, of course, someone else bid higher. Got back to me the next day and said it not only was David's amp but was the one he had used on his test bench to develop speakers and speaker cabs for Eden. I knew Lane Baldwin (moderator) from the Eden amps forum that I had joined before I bought my RS400, so I asked him if he knew if this was legit or bogus. He had left Eden and was starting a new business - David Nordschow Amplification (DNA). Ad claimed that it belonged to David Nordschow, the founder of Eden. I wrote to them a second time and about 2-weeks later received the answer that it had an SPL of 92db That's a pretty low SPL rating but the combo worked fine with my RS400 for both indoor and outdoor gigs.ġ1: 2010 - while perusing Evil-Bay, I saw an auction for a Eden WT500 that had been upgraded to 400-watts per channel at 4 ohms and 800 watts bridged at 8 ohms. I wrote to acoustic to find out the SPL rating on the B410 and didn't get an answer. ![]() Now my RS400 was delivering its full 400-watts into the two cabs (200 each) and all was right with the world again. About half way through the year I bought an acoustic B410 cab paired that with the GK115 and retired the Sunn cab. The RS400 would cause the Sunn cab to distort if I didn't keep the volume down. Amazingly clear and articulate amp and by knocking a couple of notches off the bass EQ I could tame the boominess of that GK115. Only ran about 85 watts into that 12 ohm load that way instead of the 125 watts into the 8 ohm load it was designed for, but sounded much better and was certainly louder than just using the 115.ġ0: 2008 - Bought an Eden Nemesis RS400. So I hooked up the Sunn cab to the amp and then used the series connection to hook up the GK115blx. I got around the 1-cab restriction because my Sunn cab, which was a 4 ohm cab, had both parallel and series outputs on the back. Just roar, roar, roar - mud, mud, mud!!! Ran the DI into a sound board and had no improvement. Secondly, this amp and speaker set up would not produce any clear sounds at anything above bedroom practice level. ![]() First off, the GK Backline 250 had a minimum load of 8 ohms only and manual said it was only to be used with ONE 8 ohm cab. Was confident from prior GK experience that this would be a good set up. Used with my Yamaha amp - finally had something half-way decent to gig with again.ĩ: 2007 - Bought a GK Brat Pack with GK Backline 250 amp and GK115blx speaker. Was my first experience playing through anything GK and was pleased with it.ħ: 1997 - Son gave me his Yamaha B115 so I'd have something to use since he was taking his others back.Ĩ: 2006 - found a Sunn B202 cab (212) at a sidewalk sale outside a Piano store. Worked well for a few gigs until my son needed the cabs back. Cost only $45 to fix and had a good working amp with no speakers - loaned it to my son to use with his DJ equipmentĦ: 1997 - Got my GK guitar amp back and borrowed two 12" JBL cabs with horns from my son's DJ gear to run from it. Was an extremely loud amp and I loved it.Ĥ: 1976 - all my gear was stolen when in-laws house, where we were staying, was burglarized.ĥ: Sometime in late 1980's got a broken GK guitar amp from my brother-in-law. Keyboard player also bought a Fender Rhodes stage piano (no amp) and store owner came to the club that night to see who had dropped the $$ at the store that day. I could finally hear myself and I looked GOOD!!ģ: 1971 - Bought a Standel MCIIB/SAM30B amp at Hospe Music in Lincoln, Nebraska while we were playing Little Bo's there because I was getting buried by the guitars and keys players' amps.
